_Matters

I'm taking part in a panel discussion at Leeds University. It's part of this years art course graduation show and has been initiated by the students. We'll be talking about how the making, viewing and value of art has been affected by the influence of the internet and why in recent years artists have sought to embrace new technologies whilst reaffirming their engagement with analogue materials, repurposing potentially redundent technologies and ideas.

The panelists will be myself, Vivienne Gaskin, ex-director of performing arts and digital media at ICA and Ben Eaton, a member of Leeds based collective 'Invisible Flock'. The talk will be chaired by Pavel Pys, assistant curator at the Henry Moore Foundation.
